blegh.
All the Terminators suffer from mind boggling plot holes if you think about it too much after the movie's over. "If the first one had killed Sarah Connor, the machines wouldn't have known to send it back, and they wouldn't've, and she'd've lived, and then....", or "Why did Skynet send back 3 terminators to 3 different times? Wouldn't it have been more effective to send them all back to the same time?"
Salvation takes this to a new high though. It requires you to not think DURING the movie too. Let me demonstrate:
1. Skynet initiated Judgement Day to protect itself from humans. Ok, so is skynet really threatened by the few still alive? Are the terminators necessary?
2. John Connor isn't a leader yet. Why is skynet focusing on him?
3. The resistance uses radios to communicate, and fly high tech helecopters with computer guidance. AGAINST A SUPERCOMPUTER. Can skynet not listen to the fucking radio?
4. The scene with Bonham-Carter reminded me completely of the scene with the Architect in Matrix Reloaded. Except that one made sense.
5. Same scene. Salvation takes place about 13 years before the first terminator gets sent back in time. How does skynet know it already failed to kill Conner 3 times before it even attempts to do so?
6. Heart transplant. In a field hospital. Without checking for donor compatability. Ugh.
6 is enough. Why did this movie happen?
